Tom Boatright
has worked with athletes in many
different sports including
Track & Field, Basketball, Football,
Soccer, Volleyball and Baseball.
TRACK & FIELD
Tom has worked with several prize track athletes. Jamario Taylor won the Illinois State
AA High Jump Championship in 2009 by clearing 7'0". He was also the AAU National
Champion that year.Click here to see a workout with Jamario.
Tom's training program includes power and skill training for all track and field events.
The program that will be designed for you will be tailored to your particular event.
BASKETBALL
Tom
has helped many basketball players over the years develop their game. The one
he is most
proud of is his grandson, Ryan Boatright, shown at left. Ryan was named
All-State in
Illinois as a junior and senior and earned Illinois Mr. Basketball
honors as
a senior. He was selectedPlayer
of the Year by ESPN Chicago. Ryan will be attending UCONN next year on a basketball
scholarship.
For basketball, my training emphasizes explosiveness. Explosive leaping, explosive
first step off the dribble, lateral quickness on defense and of course, skill development.
Our training for explosiveness includes the Leaper, band work, and plyometrics.
Skills development includes dribbling, passing, outside shooting, triple-threat moves,
etc. Train the Trainright way and you too will be taking your game to the next level.
FOOTBALL
At left is Isaiah Wilson,
one of Tom's up and coming star athletes. Isaiah is a
13-year-old 8th grader who played this past season for the CFAA Chargers as quarterback
and linebacker. His team was the 2010 Mid Florida State Champions. Isaiah was the 2010 Mid
Florida Runner Up Player of the Year and a 2010 AYF Under Armour All American. Click the
photo at left to see Isaiah on YouTube. Another athlete Tom has been working with is
Kalvin
Hill, running back, Minooka, IL. Click
here to see his junior season video highlights.
Tom's training program for football varies according to position and the strengths and
weaknesses of individual athlete relative to his position. But no matter what position you
play, you need explosiveness and agility. Tom emphasizes both.
SOCCER
Tom has worked with many soccer
players over the years. His
speed and agility training has
really helped these soccer
players reach their full
potential.
